Australia’s workplace watchdog is failing workers. We need to abandon the Fair Work Ombudsman and start from scratch. Workers deserve a regulator which deals with the key issues affecting them.

The Fair Work Ombudsman’s priorities are all wrong! Wage theft, sham contracting and widespread
non-payment of money owed to subcontractors are rampant in the construction industry.

The Fair Work Ombudsman is supposed to be pursuing wage theft across the economy. But almost two thirds of the money it recovers is because corporate giants self-report ripping off workers. Australia needs a tough cop on the beat to make sure people are paid every cent they are owed.
